Ever since setting up his private practise Daniel Cuschieri had a vision to a set up a firm and which will provide financial services to all entities, establishing itself and reputable name within the finance industry. With the diverse portfolio of clients within different industries Cuschieri Consultancy today services local and international clients and our focus is on driving businesses forward through the diverse finance and management services we have to offer.

Our plan is to deliver a customer experience which is second to none and which approach from day one with our clients, is to work together towards a long-term relationship with clients who trust us with their business and recommend us to others accordingly. Daniel Cuschieri

Daniel Cuschieri is a Certified Public Accountant by profession and obtained his ACCA qualification in 2013.

Daniel Cuschieri previous employments included the working in core operations in catering, food retail and distribution. In 2000, Daniel Cuschieri joined Satariano Limited (formerly known Roger Satariano & Sons Limited). During his employment Daniel role evolved from that of a Store keeper to a Floor Manager. During these years Daniel developed an interest in accountancy and began his studies which led to the commencement of sitting for ACCA. In 2009 Daniel joined a local mid-tier Audit firm where during his time at the firm held the role of a senior within the Accountancy and Consultancy department. Daniel led and mentored a team of six people. Within four years Daniel managed to successfully graduate in ACCA as a fully certified warranted accountant.

After six years Daniel wanted to augment his knowledge, and decided to join another financial services provider, Maitland Malta Limited. The latter is a global advisory and administration firm which provides seamless multi-jurisdictional legal, tax, fiduciary and investments services to private, corporate and institutional sectors. Daniel occupied the role of Private Client Accountant, and headed the accountancy department. This role helped Daniel to build his knowledge in the international sector making him able to detect and assist international customers’ needs.

In 2016, Daniel joined Sound Machine Company Limited as Head of Finance and Operations, the local agents for the brand Samsung. During his time spent within the company Daniel developed a strong acumen in relation to retail, distribution and wholesale. Daniel managed the business day to day requirements and also new projects which included strategic marketing ideas.

Furthermore to the above Daniel had already started his private practise on a part time basis, which flourished over the years. In 2017 Daniel decided to open his own practise as Cuschieri Consultancy which offers Professional Corporate Services.

Enterprises can benefit from numerous funding schemes which are available through either Local or EU Funding.  These are available both in the form of Tax Credits or as Grants.  We are able to guide you through the application process for such schemes.  This entails determining your eligibility for the schemes as we will not advise you to apply should you not be eligible for such funding.  Guidance as to which scheme best suits your enterprise will also be provided.  Together with the filling in of the application form/s, certain schemes also include an obligatory business plan which we can also develop for your enterprise.  The cost of the business plan may be recovered through an EU Funded Grant Scheme.  Amongst other schemes available for SMEs the below EU Funded Grant Schemes are currently open for applications:

  • SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme – up to €4,000 Grant – finances business plans and other studies;
  • e-Commerce Grant Scheme – up to €5,000 Grant – finances a new or upgrading of an e-commerce website and/or a mobile application;
  • SME Diversification and Innovation Grant Scheme – up to €200,000 Grant – finances equipment, machinery, construction, upgrading, leasing, rental, patents, licenses and wage costs;
  • SME Internationalisation Grant Scheme – up to €10,000 Grant – finances participation in international business promotion fairs held outside the Maltese Islands;
  • SME Growth Grant Scheme – up to €500,000 Grant – finances equipment, machinery, construction, upgrading, leasing, rental, patents and licenses;
  • Start-up Investment Grant Scheme – up to €300,000 Grant – finances equipment, machinery, construction, upgrading, leasing, rental, patents and licenses.
